New post: What Is Research, Really?, a first, honest take on what research feels like from the bench. I plan to write the next version in a few years.
Renamed Writing to Blogs and Notes to Archives.
Trimmed the home page down to a hello, what I’m up to now, and recent writing; the navigation bar already shows the way around.
Simplified the project list on Research to one line each.
Removed the catch-all “archive” tag, so the tags page shows real topics.
Added a site-wide “updated” date to the footer; it follows this changelog, not the build.

Reworked the home page into a hello and a short guide to the site. My CV is now on the site, linked from About.
Moved the research essays to their own page, On research; Research now leads with projects and publications.
Redesigned the site as a lab notebook:
- A night-paper dark theme.
- Margin notes, a contents rail, reading time, and previous/next and related links on every post and note.
Added site search: press / anywhere.
Notes are now web pages, with the typeset PDF still a click away. TikZ diagrams render in the browser too.
New navigation: Blogs, Archives, Research, About.
Edited the Greedy Algorithms note: clarified the two proof techniques (greedy stays ahead, exchange argument), fixed typos, and finished the interval scheduling problem statement.
Added this changelog page.

Expanded the Abstract Models and Architectural Synthesis notes.

Relaunched the site with a new design, the Blog, and the FTP Archive of notes on algorithms, architecture, and DSLs.
